Abstract
The paper deals with the clustering of the coal mining industry, the formation of prerequisites and the need to diversify industry processes. The assessment of the need for clustering in the coal mining industry is presented through a system of indirect processes that form the internal corporate contour of the industry. Special attention is paid to the issues of dependence of regional economic systems on industry performance indicators. The article deals with the analysis of the influence of aggregated indicators of the industry on economic growth through the tools for analyzing the number of people employed in the industry and infrastructural analysis of production.
