Abstract

The results of satellite observations helped to identify areas with surface coal mining in the territory of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. The article presents the results of a study of coal surface mining for domestic consumption. The remote monitoring revealed the models and the number of mining and transport machines in the coal pits. Based on the results of analytical calculations, the total annual volumes of stripping works and coal production have been determined.
