Abstract

The results of studying the revegetation in the coal mines waste piles of the KaaKhem in the Republic of Tyva are presented. The succession series was placed on revegetation coal mines, which are low ridges. It has been established that the regenerative succession at the coal mine is slow and not of a steppe type, but of a mixed type, and each position develops in its own way depending on the climate, edaphic conditions, the position of the community in the relief, the introduction of seeds from the surrounding steppe ecosystems and the banks of the Kaa-Khem River (Little Yenisei). The steppe species composition of the communities on the coal mines has not been fully restored, and catena ecosystems are still in the process of succession after 50 years of overgrowth. The purpose of the study is to study the vegetation cover during revegetation of the different-age coal mines of the Kaa-Khem.
