DEVELOPMENT OF THE ALTERNATIVE COMPUTED MODELS AT DESIGHNING OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE STEEL JIB HEAD TOWERS
Abstract
There is a description of the simplified express method for the computer simulation of the strain-stress state (SSS) of the multipurpose steel headframe herein in the article. To form a computational model of the headframe, it is required to know the preliminary values of the internal forces, by which they calculate the input data of the geometric characteristics of the sections in the first approximation. The point is that the use of clunky computing software systems for performing preliminary calculations is irrational. A number of simple models herewith can provide more accurate knowledge than one overcomplicated computational model. Therefore, an alternative rational way of calculating the initial data is required. The article presents a comparison of the calculation results for two variants utilizing finite element calculation models implemented in SCAD and LIRA PCs with a variant as per the mathematical modeling method based on the classical mechanics principles. Based on the comparison, a rational model is proposed and a simplified method to calculate input data in order to implement a multi-purpose headframe computer-aided design program is described. The considered modeling methods can serve as alternative, clarifying and verifying methods to calculate, design and diagnose the jig head towers, without limiting the scope of application exclusively for multi-purpose headframes.
