ABOUT THE HISTORY OF THE GORLOVKA COAL BASIN ON THE ALL-RUSSIAN HOLIDAY OF DEFENDERS OF THE FATHERLAND

Abstract

The Gorlovka coal basin is the largest in Russia in terms of reserves of high-carbon anthracite used for the needs of high-tech industries: in astronautics, nuclear energy, in the electrode, steel, aluminum and titanium industries. Defender of the Fatherland Day celebrated on February 23, 2025, is directly related to workers in the coal industry, since their labor is necessary for the military-industrial complex. Many miners served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, have a military accounting specialty, and are ready to defend their Homeland at any time. This approach was tested during the Great Patriotic War, when the glory of the «mining divisions» was forged, who stood up to defend their native land from the Nazi. On Defenders of the Fatherland Day, the miners of the Novosibirsk region confidently look to the future, knowing that their work is in demand, and the fighting Motherland will achieve peace, as it has done repeatedly in its history!
