Abstract

The article presents the results of studying the environmental state of lands disturbed in the course of coal mining using surface and underground methods in areas of the Donetsk coal basin in the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic. Types and areas of man-made landscape objects formed in the course of coal mining activities are revealed. Complex activities are proposed to accelerate the recovery of the environmental balance on the surface of the man-made terrain disturbances by using loose Quaternary rocks and planting shrubs and trees with herbaceous vegetation.
