Abstract

This paper examines the legal and regulatory framework for the strategic development of the coal industry in Russia and its representation in the media. Today, the Russian coal industry, as one of the leading sectors of the country’s fuel and energy complex, faces structural and economic challenges that require significant restructuring and the implementation of a long-term development strategy. The Russian legislator, taking a competent approach to the issues of restructuring the coal industry, has developed a regulatory framework for implementing the development program, which includes a goal, objectives, and a list of planned measures for implementing state policy in the coal industry. This program is designed to last until 2035.
