Abstract
In the development of complex-structured coal deposits, blastfree technologies are increasingly being used with open-pit mining machines of various designs, sizes and productivity. A pressing task is to reduce the cost of mining operations by selecting mining equipment that best suits specific mining and geological conditions. The article proposes a technological scheme for the selective development of a complex-structured seam with the extraction of relatively thick coal seams by a high-performance open-pit combine, while the extraction of thin rock layers is proposed to be carried out by an improved small-size open-pit combine, which ensures non-stop milling of the rock layer when replacing dump trucks under loading. The use of the proposed technology will improve the quality of selective mining and reduce production costs, which will increase the profitability of mining production.
