Abstract

Currently, there is considerable interest in the problems of ecology, interaction between man and the environment, ways to prevent negative man-made impacts on the ecosystem, as well as positive trends aimed at preserving vulnerable nature. This is especially true for the Arctic and subarctic territories where minerals are mined. The operation of developed mineral deposits and the development of new ones lead to an increase in infrastructure, as well as to an increase in anthropogenic and man-made load on the environment of the Arctic and subarctic territories. In this regard, such a social and environmental category, which is an indicator of the quality of the environment, its pollution, as the health of the population living in the Arctic and subarctic zones, is becoming relevant.
