Abstract
Synclinal coal deposits in the Republic of Khakassia that are characterized with two or more groups (formations) of coal seams of commercial significance are mined using surface methods. In the near future, surface mining operations at coal-saturated areas of the deposits will be carried out by sequential mining of two or more coal seams. Studies of the mining mode in such mining and geological conditions have determined the change in the current stripping ratio according to the linear function rule, which should be taken into account when designing open-pit mines at such deposits.
Keywords
Synclinal coal deposits, mining and geological indicators, surface mining, mining mode, stripping ratio, coal seam formation, interformation strata, regulation of mining mode.
