Abstract
Coals from many deposits contain valuable chemical elements, and therefore are promising sources for obtaining various types of mineral raw materials. Localization of valuable elements is often observed in thin layers, the selective extraction of which using traditional technologies is ineffective. The article proposes a technological scheme for deep selective excavation of thin layers of valuable mineral raw materials using an improved layer-by-layer milling machine. Loosening of the safety pillar and thin layer is carried out when the machine moves downhill; the presence of a bulldozer blade makes it possible to combine the processes of milling and moving rock mass when develop ing inclined seams, which increases mining productivity and reduces the cost of work.
