The article discusses the process of thermal dissolution of Kuzbass coal grades G, GJ and W in anthracene oil (anthracene fraction of coal tar). The target products of this process are baking-like products. Laboratory samples of baking-like products were obtained by varying the grade of coal and the final temperature of the process. The temperature varied in the range of 370-390 °C. A ratio of 30% coal and 70% anthracene oil was used to prepare the coal-oil mixture. The qualitative characteristics of the obtained laboratory samples of baking-like products were investigated.
