Abstract
The authors draw attention to geodynamic threats to the coal mining industry caused by dangerous geological processes of endogenous and exogenous nature on the territory of the Arctic zone. The article deals with the problem of estimating the vertical acceleration of continental lithospheric plates in relation to the Siberian craton, characterized by high geodynamic activity. It is suggested that the knowledge of vertical accelerations in the lithosphere makes it possible to reduce risks in the coal mining industry of the Arctic zone, characterized by complex geodynamics, as well as to approach the solution of problems of predicting terrestrial catastrophes in areas of ice mining (earthquakes, karst sinkholes, landslides). The socio-economic importance of identifying, forecasting and preventing geodynamic threats and ensuring the geo-dynamic security of the Arctic territories for the development of the coal mining industry and the Arctic region is outlined.
