Abstract
The direction of research into the dynamics of the process of extracting cations from aqueous media with a sorbent, the structure and chemistry of the surface of which was also the subject of study. The operating time of the filter layer before breakthrough is different for cations, which is due to the type of interaction of cations with the surface and functional oxygen-containing groups on the carbon surface. The influence of metal cations on the chemistry of the sorbent surface was noted. The effect of layer height on the efficiency of cation extraction at a constant flow rate was studied. It has been shown that reducing the solution flow rate through the filter helps to increase the dynamic adsorption capacity.
