Abstract

Complex processing of carbon enrichment waste implies their full use, while waste should be considered as man-made deposits. The waste from the coal enrichment of the Berezovskaya CIP contains 2864-3893 g/t of titanium, which, without pre-enrichment, exceeds industrially significant values for both coals and coal ash. Thus, in the complex processing of coal waste, the isolation of titanium compounds is an important, and most importantly, an achievable task. It is advisable to isolate titanium concentrate during the complex processing of waste after the leaching stage of compounds of rare and rare earth elements, since it is contained in a sufficiently large amount in these wastes (12.2% TiO2). Cake processing must be carried out by sulfatization followed by hot leaching, as this results in a fourfold concentration of titanium from the starting material.
