Abstract

Carbon fiber materials (CFM) and composite materials based on them (carbon fibers, carbon composites) are the most advanced structural materials of the 21st century. These are unique products created on the basis of high technologies to ensure the production of aerospace and defense equipment, nuclear engineering. The article segments the market and areas of use of carbon fiber, including the main trends in the development of the world market. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the prospects for the development of the domestic carbon fiber market, which is of priority importance in the context of the state policy of protectionism and import substitution.
