Abstract

The article discusses the process of obtaining coal tar by atmospheric vacuum distillation of coal tar. Coal tar produced by PJSC "Koks" was used as a feedstock. During the research, the final temperature of the cubic residue in the flask was 420 ° C. The obtained samples of coal tar were examined to determine their qualitative characteristics. The research results were analyzed for compliance of the quality of the obtained pitch sample with the requirements of GOST 10200-2017. Based on the results of the comparative analysis, a conclusion is made about the suitability of the resulting pitch for use in electrode production.
