Abstract

The paper describes a method to define the outline of dust particle images obtained using scanning electron microscopy and the subsequent calculation of the fractal dimensions. The results are presented of studying the Minkowski dimension for dust particles generated as a result of large-scale blasting in a coal strip mine.
