Abstract

The paper considers the issues of prerequisites for the formation of social clusters in the system of regional economy. Special attention is paid to the processes of clustering of the social sphere, the dynamics of the development of the non-profit sector of the economy, trends in the development and implementation of new measures to support socially significant initiatives at the regional level. A separate direction in the study is to assess the importance of the formation of social regional clusters as new tools for implementing the strategy of socio-economic development of territories with a predominant share of fuel and energy complex companies. The issue of increment of the theoretical basis of the theory of regional cluster formation in terms of the principles of functioning and development is considered.
