Abstract
The article presents results of studying the current condition of the coal-fired facilities of the fuel and energy sector in the southwestern part of Western Australia. Remote sensing studies and analytical calculations revealed the number of mining and haulage machines working in the coal pits, as well as determined the total annual volume of overburden and coal extraction. Directions of coal transportation to industrial enterprises that consume this type of fossil fuel are investigated.
