Abstract
In 2012 Holding Company “SBU-Coal” (HC “SBU”) has continued to increase the coal production output. Over the first 6 months of this year thanks to a large-scale production facility upgrading program the company’s businesses have increased the production by 23% against the same period in 2011 to produce 11.7 million tons of coal including 9 mln tons by digging and 2.7 million tons by mining. Today while on the eve of the professional holiday “SBU-Coal” Holding has successfully met the established production targets while traditionally maintaining a strong social policy.
The article details the company’s achieved performance in 2011 and targets for 2012 and the near term.

“Belon” Company: Success Assured by the Engineering Calculation Precision
Abstract
The production of coal from the beds featuring attitude degrees of over 35? is increasingly topical for many mines across Kuzbass. “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” mine incorporated in “Belon” company has been one of the first companies across Russia to produce coal from the beds whose attitude degrees exceed 35°. Made specifically for the mine was the equipment – mechanized bolting sections ZY 6400/15/34D and tunneling machine by Chenchou Group GSO, China. Today, a few months later the first positive results have shown up that means that the “Belon” engineers’ calculation was correct. The article gives the working experience of “Chertinskaya-Koksovaya” mine.

Technical rejuvenation for coal companies has become a guarantee of higher performance in various directions such as quality, environment and safety. When buying machines the coal miners first of all focus on well-tried models by the world’s leading manufacturers, however the new designs are also taken into account. Along with the replenishment of mining and railway vehicle fleet “Kuzbasshazrezugol” is field-testing some experimental samples: three excavators have been tested this year alone.

Surface Degassing Well Construction Technology Improvement Using
Ultra Single 150 Drilling System
Abstract
The article sets forth the results of work aimed at improving degassing well construction technology with “Pokrovskoye” mine management bureau using ULTRA SINGLE 150 drilling system. Wells have shown construction rates of 518 m per day which are record for Donbass conditions. The degassing well construction figures and their performances are the evidence of the efficiency of investment made in the purchase of of modern drilling systems and convincingly confirm the feasibility of the comprehensive methane & coal field resource development and use program implementation.

Abstract
On June 5 to 8 2012 in Novokuznetsk in new “Kuzbasskaya Yarmarka” exhibition complex XIÕ International specialized exhibition “Ugol Russia’s and Mining” which was recognized as the world’s exhibition No1 for underground coal production technologies and III specialized exhibition “Security, Industrial and Personal Safety were held. These events were hosted by exhibition companies “Kuzbasskaya Yarmarka” and, which has been involved in the exhibition business since 1992 and Messe Duesselsdorf GmbH, Germany. The high level of the Coal Forum is confirmed with the biggest exhibition communities’ marks such as UFI of Global Exhibition Industry Association and RSVY of Russian Exhibition and Fair Union. Since 2003 this project has been held under the aegis of the Chamber of Commerce of the Russia. The article provides an overview of the exhibitors at “Ugol Russia’s and Mining” exhibition and exhibits that is pieces of equipment displayed at the exhibition and states the prize-winners of “Ugol Russia’s and Mining 2012” exhibition.

Coal Industry Development Program till 2030 involves a significant increase in the production output. Despite the coal industry’s low direct contribution to Russia’s economy its development is highly important for the maintenance of adjacent and accompanying industries. Current Conditions for Industrial Implementation of SLF from Coals in Russia
Abstract
The article studies various deep coal processing technologies to produce synthetic liquid fuels and other valuable hydrocarbons, highlights many leading global powers' interest in the raw material diversification issue to obtain such product where the interest in coal as a main raw material source prevails. Also proposed is the technology that best meets the specificity of the coals in this country. It's shown that the coal gasification processes for which practically any coal grades are suitable including low grade Russian brown coals whose fields are concentrated in Siberia and the Far East are the most promising.

It’s quite typical for the mines when technical and technological innovations are intended to prevent fires, high injury rate, coal reserve losses etc. Savings as a result of a damage prevention become especially significant in their introduction saving rate. A Scientist Who Changed Pechorsky Region’s Destiny

Abstract
The name of Aleksandr A. Chernov (24.07.1877-22.01.1963), whose 135th birthday is celebrated this year, is symbolic and significant for the coal industry of the Republic of Komi and Russia as a whole. Although things like that are rare to fall in a scientist's lot he as far back as in his lifetime saw that the results of his scientific and reconnaissance work had changed the destiny of Pechorsky region – a huge northern territory of Russia. Normally his name is associated with the discovery of Pechorsky coal field and establishment of the regional geologist school however the scientific interests and practical results of A.A. Chernov’s research were more extensive.
